Why do you only take clients who are on Spotlight / Mandy?

Unlike regular employment, the performing arts industry does seem rather unfair as there are a number of sites where people advertise castings, but the best jobs (e.g. paid work, with decent terms and conditions) are only visible to premium members (e.g. those who have paid a fee). We want to represent people who are serious about their careers and who realise that they have to invest in their own success, but with so many sites to chose from, it can be hard to decide which one to spend money with. Ultimately, you will have to sign up to at least one site to have any chance of seeing castings that might lead to you earning some money.

For people starting out, we recommend signing up to Mandy, a well established organisation which also operates in the USA. Premium membership currently costs £20.40 per month, which can be cancelled or activated at any time, or you pay for a year at a reduced cost of £156.00.

Drama school graduates, or those with some industry experience, are recommended to apply for Spotlight, which remains the go to casting location for industry professionals. Many performers pay to be on both sites, and you may decide to do this too as your career progresses.

As an agency, we have profiles on both these sites, so by signing up and listing us as your agency, industry professionals will know that you are already considered good enough to have secured representation (a real boost to your chances of getting a casting). It also means that as well as being able to put yourself up for castings, we can put you forward for work as well.

Please remember, we are not asking you for any money as you pay your membership fees to casting sites directly. We are not affiliated with these sites and do not receive any payment for getting you to sign up. We recommend you join because it is in your best interests to do so.
